123. Reclaiming Your Power

What if that thing you have been ashamed of is your superpower? What if by sharing what you overcame you are actually helping others overcome their obstacles as well?

This is exactly what happended to our guest, Deyci Carrillo. After talking to her mother about applying for college she found out she was undocumented. For some time she felt defeated, but then she realized this was the obstacle she overcame and she wanted to help other undocumented students do the same.

Deyci Carrillo is a Poet and Founder of Pura Vida 510, she is an undocumented poet that writes about jefas, community, and immigration. With her words she hopes to inspire humans to discover and own their magic.
