The Future is Bilingual: Why Teaching our Children About Biculturalism is Important with Sarah Farzam
The world is diversifying more than ever and it is important that we set our future generations up for success. As a former teacher, Sarah Farzam, founder & CEO of Bilingual Birdies, knew she had to help parents teach their children about biculturalism.
As a lover of music, language, and culture, her intention was to create a space to celebrate diversity with children.
In 2006, with zero business experience, Sarah launched Bilingual Birdies, a foreign language and live music program for children up to age six in NYC after months of passing out fliers in public playgrounds which yielded a total of three enrolled students (two of which were her twin nieces).
In our interview she not only shares with us how Bilingual Birdies has already had such an impact in families, but also shares about her entrepreneurial journey and what she did in order to create a successful business with and incredible purpose behind it.
